This is the story that started it all, my oldest work to date and also by far the largest. And when I say the largest I don’t just mean my largest story to date, I mean that it is actually the largest fanfiction for Rosario Vampire out there. This is of course if you count all the ‘Acts’ together as one story, which it technically is. If you combine all the Acts and read through it as one giant anthology it will surpass 2 million words. Take into account that the story is still going and you can see just how massive it really is.
Taking place after the events from the anime, Rosario Vampire: Brightest Darkness sets into motion a large scale adventure for the protagonist, Tsukune Aono, and all his friends in the world created by Akihisa Ikeda. It splices in elements from the manga which weren’t used in the anime series, along with adding new characters and events to keep the reader engaged and in suspense. Following Tsukune and his friends through changes not only in their world but also with each other, this fanfiction doesn’t just focus on the typical ‘Tsukune and the one girl he wants to be with’ storyline that most fanfictions go with. All of the main cast from the series are given equal time in the spotlight while also balancing the new characters that come into their lives. From new boyfriends, new villains, and new challenges to face, this story becomes what the anime should have been: fewer panty shots, more action and drama. The story earns its M+ rating with graphic violence, sexual themes, and some foul language now and again, while also keeping the reader hooked with its trademark ‘cliffhanger’ endings to most chapters.

Before I started reading I thought I would need to hold my iPad at arms length, what with this being a fanfic and all. However, he had me hooked almost imediately. I literally did not put my iPad down except to sleep and go to work until I finished all 6+ acts… which took at least a few weeks. This is a very well thought through and very professionally written book series. The behavior of the characters is consistent across all 6+ acts and he does a bang-up job dealing with alternate time-streams without getting himself or the reader confused or having the result coming across as deus ex machina. I wouldn’t be surprised if before he started the first act, he had already tacked a wildly complicated outline to his wall, complete with string connecting the characters to the major plot arcs as well as the random chance meetings.

I have recently completed reading all six arcs of your Rosario Vampire Brightest Darkness Fanfiction . Can you please announce a release date for arc VII ? It will give all your fans something to look forward to.
Act VII is currently ‘on hold’ while I finish writing the first story arc of my book series Chronicles of Eden. There are currently three chapters posted on my FanFiction profile of Act VII for a look of what’s to come, however the rest of the Act will not be worked on until my book series is at a decent stopping point with its story. I’m planning on returning to work on this fanfiction sometime next year, an announcement will be posted when that time comes.

As much as I want to continue that story, I just haven’t had the time to return to it. Eden takes up most of my free time for writing, and there are other books I’d like to write that I haven’t gotten to yet. To be honest, I would love to also go back and revise the current Acts in RVBD as well. It was my first story after all, and it clearly shows in the writing. Hopefully one day I’ll have more time to do so, but at the moment, Eden isn’t just my main story, it’s also my main source of income, so it kind has priority over my fanfictions. Such is the life of a writer I suppose.
